Through a Partnership with the International Wine Guild, GUSTO provides an avenue for higher education in wine via professional courses in wine, spirits and sake. The International Wine Guild is an accredited wine college, not just (or only) a professional certifying organization. We provide the support and education to prepare you for certification, if certification is your goal. The Guild was established to encourage the study of and to develop the technical and professional understanding and increased knowledge of wine throughout all areas of the wine and food service industry.
The Guild is dedicated to fostering wine education at the highest levels and helping both wine professionals and wine enthusiasts increase and expand their knowledge and understanding of wine.
All Guild programs are taught from a curriculum with a world view and can be approached by both the wine enthusiast and wine professional. We provide our own proprietary course materials for all diploma programs and administer course exams based on in-class teachings. All lead instructors in our professional programs have industry experience – often in a range of different areas of the industry and have been through a two-year training program to become Senior Wine Instructors.
